This event pays tribute to Windber's significant contribution as a coal supplier for the Titanic and commemorates the anniversary of the ship's tragic sinking on April 14th-15th, 1912. Experience the eerie tales surrounding the Grand Midway Hotel, a historic landmark that has been standing since 1888.
Echoes of the Titanic will take place on April 26th, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 AM April 27th at The Grand Midway Hotel in Windber, Pennsylvania. Explore the enigmatic Grand Midway Hotel, America's Bohemian Palace, renowned for its haunted charm and storied past. This paranormally active location has many layers of history, including notorious mob hits, brothel activity, and the haunted doll collection of Anne Rice from New Orleans. Spend the night in this historic venue and experience a profound spiritual encounter.
For those interested in exploring the paranormal more deeply, consider joining a guided tour to uncover the world's largest Ouija board located on the rooftop, believed to blur the lines between realms. You have two options to participate in this investigation. You can choose to investigate the site on your own without overnight accommodations, departing when you choose, but no later than 3 AM. Alternatively, you can purchase overnight accommodations along with your tickets. Please be aware that the price of the room covers only the overnight stay and does not include the investigation ticket.

Explore the hotel on your own with your gear from 7 PM to 3 AM. This ticket is designed for seasoned investigators familiar with the principles of paranormal research and the value of a public event. The spaciousness of this venue ensures a controlled environment. It offers a cost-effective alternative to reserving the location privately. Additionally, you can book a room for overnight accommodations and enjoy a comfortable stay until 10 AM the next morning. If you choose this option, you may investigate any unoccupied areas even after the 3 AM cutoff. Our event will be intimately sized to avoid overcrowding and to sustain noise control.
Guided VIP Tour: $75
Join your hosts for an exciting tour of the location and its paranormal hotspots. Laurissa Rex, known from 24 Hours in Hell TV Series, will lead you on a guided exploration of this stunning venue using state-of-the-art equipment. Alongside Laurissa, the guides from PARA will conduct innovative experiments exclusive to Third Eye Event Productions and The Haunted Mafia, LLC. This intimate experience is led by an experienced investigator and Laurissa, a naturally gifted psychic medium, who will help facilitate communication between our world and the other side. Enhance your unforgettable evening by opting for the rental equipment and souvenir package, which allows you to handle the gear yourself and provides you with a recording of the night’s investigation.

The Vampire Suite: $125
The Vampire Suite stretches out into actually two rooms, it boasts cozy heat, fine skulls, and a one of the original queen size Grand Midway Hotel beds with hanging canopies from when the building was still operating in its early 1900s hay day. This room also offers a beautiful sky view looking out over the enchanting town of Windber. There is also a seating area with a couch. There is a video library of Vampire DVDs (over 120 movies!) There is a closet, it is rumored, with a back tunnel that leads to a secret private third back room with coffins! If you want to experience the third floor spirits in a grand style, this is your room.
The Frankenstein Suite: $125
The Frankenstein Suite boasts the biggest bed in the hotel. Nothing short of Dr. Frankenstein’s mad vision for excess sets the bar for this room. Step back into the summer of 1816 of Lord Byron’s Lake Geneva Villa Diodati where Mary Shelley and Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Polidori visited and told stories… one giving birth to the tale of Frankenstein! Romanticism at its finest! (Even includes a Tesla coil!)
There is a library of Frankenstein and Frankenstein-related movies and documentaries for your research and viewing pleasure.
The Werewolf Suite: $125
The new and highly mysterious Werewolf Suite (with brothel undertones) offers several joys for the International gentleman werewolf. Mainly, a large California King heavy wood bed with strong chains to cage oneself if one wished to protect others during a potential full moon. Also, the room boasts a sweet collection of wolfman movies and lots of misc. bones and skulls, perfect for ordering pizza and staying super cozy in bed all weekend!

The Mermaid Suite: $100
The Mermaid Suite is perhaps our most enchanted room. It has a tiny, cozy innocent underwater feel to it. A large fish tank offers views to undersea worlds. A DVD library of 30+ films offers a wide range of mermaid and other underwater classics for your viewing pleasure.
There is a second back room to the Mermaid Suite, the Deep Sea Cinema!
The Dragon Suite: $100
This suite was created with fantasy gamers in mind. Dungeons and Dragons fan? Lord of the Rings fan? Game of Thrones fan? This is your suite. Also, sprinkled with a touch of Ireland, the Irish, and England, Camelot, etc., think green and enchantment. Wee people have been seen here, also leprechauns, elves, gnomes, fairies, dwarves, pixies, hobbits, unicorns, and of course, dragons…
The Canopy Room: $100
The Canopy Room has a queen bed. It does not have any heat but it holds the title of the most active room in the hotel.

The Meetup point for this walk will be at the memorial section of Palmerton's Borough Park. Maximum 15 guests per tour. Walking route is approximately 3 miles. Well mannered and quiet children are welcome to attend.
This spring, embark on a historical journey through downtown Palmerton, Pennsylvania, with paranormal researcher Laurissa Rex, co-creator of the series "24 Hours in Hell: A Paranormal Journey Through Hell House." Over four years of paranormal investigations in Palmerton and its neighboring areas, Laurissa and her team, The Haunted Mafia, have discovered compelling evidence of hauntings tied to our vibrant Palmerton heritage.
After nearly three years without historical insights into the Waldorf Estate of Fear Haunted Attraction, a chance meeting with a direct descendant of the hotel's original owner allowed Laurissa to connect history with evidence for the first time, affirming the presence of spirits at the site. Through her research, Laurissa uncovered connections to the town's founding, Bethlehem Steel, the Gnadenhutten Massacre of 1755, the Haunted Jail in Jim Thorpe, and many other historical events that have influenced not just Palmerton and Pennsylvania, but the entire United States. These events and many more are discussed at length in her upcoming book, The Waldorf Effect: A Paranormal Research Theory.
Starting in April, join Laurissa and members of The Haunted Mafia for a guided ghost walk through town, where she will share local history and tales of hauntings straight from her new book; tales both legendary and substantiated. The experience will conclude in the town square, where participants will engage in a mini-investigation using tools provided as part of their ticket. Additionally, your ticket includes a link to the evidence collected during the event, allowing you to review it at your convenience.

We will embark on a round-robin investigation, beginning outside at the tavern foundation and moving up to the attic's top floor. On Friday, June 13th, immerse yourself in the legend and atmosphere of the film franchise, Hell House, LLC, and the paranormal phenomena that inspired the TV series, 24 Hours in Hell. Investigate the former farmhouse and hotel that sparked it all, the Waldorf Estate of Fear. Tucked away in the Lehigh Valley, this chilling haunt attraction had no documented history until recently, when a descendant of the original landowner was found and shared original records, finally revealing pieces of the rich history of Carbon County. This farm is linked to the Haunted Jail in Jim Thorpe, the Gnad Huetten Massacre of 1745, and the very founding of the valley. Evidence gathered from paranormal research over the years is now being compared with verifiable historical documentation. You can also partake in this living history and explore this location solo for the very first time. On June 13th, you are invited to investigate four floors, expansive grounds, and an outlying shed during a paranormal event. You will have free access to the site from 7 PM until 3 AM.
Exclusive overnight tickets are available for those who wish to stay the night at this location. Overnight spots are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your own bedding. There is no running water; however, a portable bathroom will be provided for the evening. Keep in mind that the building lacks heating, so dress warmly. Overnight guests are welcome to stay until 10 AM. This venue does not feature any animatronics and is mostly stripped of props after the haunt season. You will have a vast area to explore, including a basement, a large first floor, an expansive second floor, and an attic. An outdoor building, previously a schoolhouse, is also available for investigation. The surrounding land, which is said to be haunted, may be explored depending on the weather, but be aware of the elemental spirits and Lenape presence. There’s more haunted history here than we previously realized!
If you prefer not to stay overnight at this location, several hotels are nearby: The Motor Inn on 209, The Country Inn and Suites on 209, and The Hampton Inn on 209. All are situated in Lehighton, within a 15-minute drive from the Waldorf. For die-hard Hell House fans, we recommend making reservations at Joey B's, a Palmerton restaurant featured in the original Hell House film. This local gem is renowned for its tasty bar snacks, pizza, and a great selection of drinks. Since it’s a local favorite, reservations are essential. Located just 15 minutes from the hotel, you are sure to enjoy your entire Hell House-themed paranormal evening this June as you delve into haunted legends and living history with us at the Haunted Hell House: A Solo Paranormal Event.

Explore the vast grounds of the Waldorf Estate of Fear from 7 PM to 3 AM. You will have access to four floors, including the notorious basement, the former schoolhouse (an adjacent shed), and the outdoor areas. The property is much more expansive than it appears. Please ensure you leave the site by 3 AM. Guests will receive wristbands at check-in to indicate their ticket type.
Solo Investigator (Overnight Ticket) $125
Experience a Night at Hell House! Check-in starts at 7 PM, and you must check out by 10 AM—if you survive the night! You can explore the vast grounds, which include the notorious basement, three spacious floors of the hotel, the nearby shed (formerly a schoolhouse), and the expansive countryside beyond, weather permitting. Remember to bring your own cot, air mattress, and bedding. There is no heating—dress warmly! Please note that there is no running water, but portable restrooms will be available on-site. This adventure is not for the faint-hearted!
